Rating:
On paper, George Mason is a much better defensive team than James Madison. However, the Patriots’ last two games are not a proper benchmark. Keep in mind that Coppin State is one of the worst Division I teams.
According to KenPom, the Patriots’ schedule ranks 323rd in the nation, whereas the Dukes’ schedule is 140th. We should see a close game, and I think that James Madison has more offensive weapons than George Mason.
The Patriots might miss their starting guard Jared Billups (7.2 PPG, 7.6 RPG), who’s in the concussion protocol. The Dukes are a much better rebounding team than George Mason, and Billups’ eventual absence will hurt the Patriots a lot. Billups has missed the last two games.
Prediction: James Madison Dukes ATS

Rating:
George Mason is 313th in the nation in defensive rebounding percentage (65.0%), whereas James Madison ranks fifth in this category (80.3%). When it comes to offensive rebounding, the Patriots are 25th (37.6%), and the Dukes are 64th (35.1%).
With both teams crushing the boards, we should see a lot of second-chance points. The Dukes lean on 3-point shooting. They are 36th in 3-point rate (.477) and 43rd in 3-point percentage (38.1%). I’m going with the over even though neither side plays at a fast pace. The over is 10-4 in the last 14 encounters between George Mason and James Madison.
