House Teams

The entire school is divided into four house teams representing distinct forces of nature: Blizzards (grey), Tornadoes (green), Hurricanes (blue), and Volcanoes (red). Every student and faculty member is assigned to a house. Family members are always members of the same house. Each student has a t-shirt that represents the house he/she is in.

This year the house shirts have been newly designed by a former student, Jade McGilvray, who sparked the idea when she presented the school with a painting entitled "Soaring Spirit". The back of the shirts exeplifiy Glenfir's values of Acheivement, Integrity, and Respect, with a quote created by a grade six student "A.I.R. we need it to breathe". 

House competitions occur on a regular basis throughout the year. These events are intended to promote school spirit and teamwork. The ultimate goal is to win the House Cup, awarded once per academic year.
