Overview
The curriculum at Glenfir offers a safe, challenging and carefully structured programme for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The core programme aims to ensure a balanced approach to academic excellence, physical well-being and the development of practical life skills.
An exciting new addition to the curriculum at Glenfir also allows the flexibility, opportunity and capacity to create individual programmes of special activities. Each child is asked to choose a special activity from among a group of identified sports, artistic endeavours or individually designed projects. Time is set aside each week, typically on Friday afternoons, during which these activities take place under supervision. This new feature of the Glenfir programme is intended to allow a student with a particular interest in tennis, rowing or film making, for example, to pursue that interest more intensively under the direction of a qualified professional. All of this work is done with our students against the backdrop of our total commitment to working with each individual student and their families to ensure that our programme addresses each child's strengths, needs and interests in the best way we possibly can.
